It's all about Research!
The Study
I obtained B.Tech (Hons) in Computer Science & Engineering from IIIT Hyderabad, India in 2006.I followed it up with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Southampton, UK in 2009. My advisors were Prof. Nick Jennings and Dr. Nicholas Gibbins at the School of Electronics and Computer Science.
In both cases, my field of specialisation was AI (Multi-Agent Systems). Further details here.
My subsequent research has been more diverse and spanned across the fields of AI, Machine Learning, Game Theory, Smart Grid, IoT and Blockchain. Some of it has been captured in peer-reviewed papers and patents.
The Work
Currently, I am plying my trade as a Principal Applied Science Manager at Microsoft, based out of Vancouver, Canada.From Oct 2017 to Apr 2021, I worked at Realtor.com (Move, Inc), based out of Vancouver, Canada. Before I left, I was the Manager of the Consumer Experience Data Science team.
From Dec 2014 to Jul 2017, I worked as a Research Scientist at IBM Research, based in Bangalore, India.
Previously, I was the Principal Scientist for Global StealthCo, a global stealth-mode startup headquartered at Hong Kong.
From 2010 to 2012, I worked as a Research Engineer at Secure Meters Ltd., Winchester, UK.
Simultaneously, I was also a Visiting Researcher to the Agents, Interaction and Complexity Research Group at University of Southampton.
